Recently I had the opportunity to take a road trip with some dear friends to Utah. We spent the most marvelous day playing in Park City on November 8th, 2014 and taking photos. I had the chance to meet some amazing new friends and capture their fun personalities and relationships. All of our models are simply stunning and I feel very fortunate to have taken these photos of them! The purpose of these images was to create some pleasant portraits that displayed professional quality, genuine expression and real gestures. We began our photoshoots that day on Main Street, then Dear Valley and back to a white barn near the entrance of Park City.

I have been to Park City several times and love the area so much. The whole experience was so great being with friends, however. The architecture and history that surrounds the area is very inspiring! It’s so beautiful and I can see now why so many come here to take portraits.

These images were taken primarily with a 50 mm and 85 mm lens. I kept the aperture small for the portraits that included full body and lots of background and it was a little wider for the more close-up photos. The last few images in this post were taken with a speedlight and diffuser.

In post-production I slightly adjusted the exposure, color balance, tone curve, contrast, vibrance, sharpness shadows and highlights. I did slight editing on the skin of our models as well. I do love portrait photography so much. I am so grateful for the opportunity I had to come to this inspiring place and meet these beautiful souls! I hope you enjoy these photographs.
